Georgian Wings has performed its first international flight on route Tbilisi-Baku

Georgian Wings’ aircraft has landed successfully at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

 Baku International Airport has greeted Georgian Aircraft with a traditional water arch in a ceremonial setting.

 The event of the first regular flight took place in Baku airport in a solemn atmosphere

 The event was attended by representatives of Georgian Wings as well as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Azerbaijan Mr. Zurab Pataradze, Georgian Business Association’s vice president Mr. Akaki Saghirashvili, Director of Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport Mr. Teymur Gasanov, Georgian Wings’ official representative in The republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ismail Mammadov and Acting President of “Azerbaijan Airlines” Mr. Samir Rzayev.

According to the statement from the head of Georgian Wings Mr. Edison Pipia:” We are proud to celebrate the premier international flight of Georgian Wings in Heydar Aliyev International Airport. This decision underlines the close partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia. Up mentioned route opens limitless opportunities to develop tourism, business and deepening of friendly relations. Tbilisi-Baku-Tbilisi flights will be performed on a regular basis from 6th September with ATR72-500 type aircraft, which ensures fast, comfortable and safe traffic between two neighboring countries, and we hope that this decision will be the beginning of a longstanding, close and fruitful partnership.”

By the end of the event, an official meeting was held between the parties, where they underlined the meaning of launching regular flights and developing partner relations.

Starting today Georgian Wings will perform flights on route Tbilisi-Baku-Tbilisi on a regular basis with three frequencies per week, every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Tickets can be purchased on our official website www.georgianwings.com as well by travel agencies.
